Caucus Wants Diversity Boilerplate in FCC-Vetted Mergers (B&C)
In a letter to FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler, 50 legislators outlined a set of guidelines for the commission as it vets the proposed Comcast/Time Warner Cable and AT&T/DirecTV and Sprint/T-Mobile mergers, calling them an opportunity to "encourage" diversity.

ASCAP: Future at Stake in Pandora Case (The Tennessean)

EBU Tests "Visual Radio" Signal for Event (EBU)
The European Broadcasting Union will transmit a "Visual Radio" signal for the first time at the Zurich 2014 European Athletics Championships. The Visual Radio project, developed by EuroRadio, consists of a live data slideshow showing live results and pictures of the event.

In a troubled land, some radio listeners have found a safe haven with Mogadishu, Somalia's Gool FM, a station that covers sports, both local and international. "Our reporters are always busy. We work hard to fulfill people's expectations," said a station staffer.
