May 10, 2016 ESPN, Verizon Reach Settlement ESPN and Verizon have formally settled a federal lawsuit the programmer brought against the telco in April 2015 after Verizon launched a "skinny bundle" package – Custom TV – that placed the Worldwide Leader in a separate Sports package.
