Clear Lake Recording Studios has hosted dozens of acts in its Studio A over the years, like No Doubt, Anthrax, Talking Heads, Ice-T, Melissa Etheridge, Backstreet Boys and Chaka Khan, to name just a few. Many have spent time working in its George Augspurger-designed Studio A, which in recent times now sports S3X-H monitors from ADAM Audio.

Aiming to help out bands and simply learn something new, Texas-based Austin Signal recording studio has started offering lathe-cut vinyl servicesessentially hand-cutting records one-by-one. Intrigued, we sat down with studio owner Jon Neiss to learn more and discovered that's only part of what makes his studio unique.
