Tour Profile: Ingrid Michaelson
Over the past 10 years, singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson has continually found ways to expand her audience thanks to her persistent and evolving artistic vision, hard work, DIY aesthetic and willingness to try new approaches. Once noted as a breakout indie artist from within the ranks of MySpace, which helped to catapult her early songs from the Web into the soundtracks of the hit TV series ABC's Grey's Anatomy, as well as TV commercials (which in turn won her new fans), Michaelson went on to realize various chart successes with subsequent album releases between 2008 and 2012. She also toured rigorously during that time.

AES139 Convention Announces Live Sound Expo Programming Details
This year's Live Sound Expo, produced in association with Pro Sound News, offers expert advice for the broad spectrum of live sound engineers—some 25-percent of Convention attendees, according to the AES—with an emphasis on practical applications covering topics ranging from live sound in theaters, music venues and houses of worship. Turbosound NuQ82-AN Loudspeaker
The two-way full range NuQ82-AN ($1,968.95) is a 600-watt 8-inch powered loudspeaker system for a wide range of portable and fixed installation speech and music sound reinforcement applications. Designed to work individually without a controller, the NuQ82-AN provides optimal performance for FOH, sidefill and delay line loudspeakers, and wedge monitoring applications. Features include an 8-inch low-frequency driver with a low-mass voice coil for improved transient response and an aluminium dome 1-inch neodymium high-frequency compression driver, which is mounted on a rotatable 100x60-degree (HxV) dispersion converging elliptical waveguide. Output power for the NuQ82-AN is provided by means of a Klark-Teknik 600-watt Class-D power amplifier. A sophisticated but easy to use Klark-Teknik Digital Signal Processor provides dynamic EQ for impressive full range response at low volume levels and transparent limiting for clarity at high output levels and for long-term reliability.
 
Yamaha CL/QL Version 3.1 and StageMix 5.1
Firmware update Version 3.1 is now available for the CL and QL Series Digital Mixing Consoles, adding a number of new features including control of the RSio64-D, or "bento box", which serves as a bridge between a Dante network and the MY-card format.
