The big sea change occurred with CS6, when Premiere adopted FCP 7's keyboard shortcuts, much of its nomenclature, its media handling and many of its features. This is not a bad thing. Final Cut Pro 5-7 had something like 2 million users, while Premiere Pro had only a fraction of that. If I were going to emulate something, I'd pick the biggest market I could find." More» Call for L.A. Video Editors for Shutterstock Competition Shutterstock is looking for five L.A.-based video editors for a competition taking place at Siren Studios in Los Angeles on August 21. They'll be filming the event for a TV pilot and are looking for people with industry experience who also have interesting life stories, and are motivated to appear both in the show and the competition. Contestants will have 45 minutes of editing (after a 45-minute long research/downloading phase) to put together a 30-second video in front of a live audience (using videos and music tracks from Shutterstock's collection).
