What the Perfect IP Control Surface Looks Like.
(Hint: Pretty Darn Close to the L-8, Only with 12 channels.) We think we’ve arrived at the perfect balance between feel, size and features with the introduction of our new L-12 control surface. Based on all the same design principles as our popular L-8 and flagship LX-24 control surfaces – a precision-built, low-profile, tabletop IP control surface that offers assignable sources to any fader and with hot-swappable individual fader modules – this newest Wheatstone console has just enough faders to be effective in most on-air or secondary production studios, but not too many that it’s unwieldy to use and difficult to place in the modern radio environment. Building on the core intelligence of our WheatNet-IP Intelligent Network, we introduced new I/O BLADEs with built-in audio clip storage for emergency broadcasts, a multi-band processor for “spot” processing where needed, smart associated connections, double the virtual logic ports for even more control, AES67 compatibility for interoperability with other gear, and sharp looking OLED interface displays. All in addition to all the features you’ve come to expect from our BLADE technology: virtual utility mixers for combining audio anywhere on the network, silence sensors that auto switch to a backup source, and true IP architecture with Gigabit Ethernet throughput. MPX Composite AES for Everyone! It’s All in Our New Stereo Generator. We got it right here, the first standalone FM stereo generator capable of passing full AES MPX composite baseband to the exciter. Our new SG-192 FM stereo generator complements Wheatstone’s Vorsis audio processing line and can provide stereo generation for third-party audio compressors and limiters, as well. The SG-192 offers a dynamic L-R limiter to help mitigate the effects of multipath-induced stereo receiver blending in the absence of clean reception. Interface with an exciter includes the legacy composite analog signal (2 separate outputs are available) or AES composite baseband option with compatible exciters. All broadcasters welcome! |

Something Special for LPFM Our new FM-55 audio processor is ideal for LPFM or any FM station requiring sound consistency across a variety of source material. We engineered a new multiband iAGC — or intelligent AGC — coupled to a five-band compressor and limiter so that you can produce a consistent, spectrally-balanced sound regardless of density variations in incoming source material. Add the FM-55 to an Audioarts Air-1 or Air-4 console, and you’ll have just about everything you need for on-air, production and processing at an affordable price. |
