Google Fiber Reopens Service Sign Ups In Kansas City Christmas is coming early for some consumers in the Kansas City area who missed their chance to sign up for Google Fiber services during the first phase of deployment. Rockefeller Introducing Cybersecurity Bill Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.) on Thursday will introduce the Cybersecurity Act of 2013. The act passed out of the Senate Commerce Committee unanimously in July and will now be attached as an amendment to the must-pass National Defense Authorization Act--the Defense Department's budget bill--with the blessing of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.). more
