The $799 billion Restaurant industry is being reinvigorated by Digital Signage. In 2017, $234 billion went to quick service and fast casual (combined, showing 5.3 percent growth over 2016). And this market is on the move–32% of restaurant owners believe they are lagging in their technology use, and many are planning upgrades.

Quick service restaurants (QSRs) are known for speed, efficiency, and an ever-changing array of new meal options. After years of delay, new FDA Menu Labeling rules are now in effect– and digital signage will play a big role in that.  May 7th, 2018 marked the official start date for the new menu-labeling laws. It took nearly a decade, but now many restaurants and other away-from-home food retailers are being required by federal law to include calorie counts on menus and signage.
