 NUGEN Audio's award winning MasterCheck Pro is a loudness, dynamics and codec toolset that supports engineers in optimizing their mix for music streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music. Version 1.5 will be introduced at NAMM with two enhancements:
First will be support for Apple AAC iTunes+ codec variation in OSX for engineers participating in MFIT (Mastered for iTunes). MasterCheck Pro now provides real-time monitoring of the native Apple codec.
Second is an update to the PLR/PSR dynamics meter. Since absolute loudness is no longer competitive in streaming due to loudness normalization, optimizing dynamics makes music stand out. NUGEN Audio joined an AES panel of experts to write an engineering brief encouraging consistency in dynamics visualization and measurement through standardization of the PLR & PSR (Peak to Loudness Ratio, Peak to Short-term loudness Ratio) measurements.  RCF continues to expand the HDL family of line array products with the HDL30-A. The HDL30-A is high powered, lightweight, easy to array offering full-range frequency linear response. A compact, 2200-watt bi-amped two-way cabinet, the HDL30-A features two neodymium 10" woofers coupled with a 4" voice coil high-frequency compression driver mounted on a time coherent 100°x15° waveguide.
RCF has specifically matched each component for better clarity and performance. The HDL30-A incorporates FiRPHASE DSP a proprietary and advanced FIR filtering technology that optimizes dynamics, amplitude and phase patterns ensuring transparent sound and absolute clarity.
