FCC Deregulates Broadcast Ownership
At a busy November public meeting, the Federal Communications Commission eliminated some decades-old media ownership regulations in a move broadcasters have argued is necessary to enable them to remain relevant in today's landscape. But the commission didn't stop there, also launching the ATSC 3.0 rollout and voting to reform the Lifeline program.
