In her new role, Silkworth will develop and lead the programming and consumer research departments for NBCUniversal Hispanic Networks, comprised of Telemundo and NBC Universo. Silkworth had been executive VP and managing director at media buyer Starcom Mediavest Group (SMG). In late February, the Publicis Groupe laid off 80 SMG employees as part of the restructuring. SMG had lost the Walmart account in early February, following the late 2015 loss of some Procter & Gamble business, as well as Mondelez and Coca-Cola. · Telemundo O&O WNJU in New York has named Lynette Pinto as its vice president, marketing and promotions. She was formerly the VP of business development at the Latin American Multichannel Advertising Council (LAMAC) and had served as a marketing VP at NBCUniversal, including Telemundo's properties, from 2000 through 2011. Other prior roles include division manager at AT&T and director of multicultural marketing at Kraft General Foods from 1993 to 1996. · Erasmo Provenza has joined Telemundo-owned KDEN in Denver as a sports anchor on its weekday 4:30 p.m., 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts. He comes from Venezuela's Meridiano Television, where he was a sports anchor covering national and international events since 2007. · Michael Hoderle has been appointed vice president of integrated marketing solutions at Entravision's McAllen-Brownsville-Harlingen, Texas, group of media properties. He will be responsible for selling advertising across the company's TV, radio, digital and event properties in the market, working with both the national and local sales teams. He comes from Foster Communications in San Angelo, Texas, where he was director of sales. · Carlos Sanchez has joined Telemundo O&O KTLM in McAllen-Brownsville-Harlingen, Texas, as a video journalist.
