Pearl Jam continues to pack arenas with audiences and its unique brand of rock, as evidenced by its recent tour behind its Lightning Bolt album. Along for the ride, as it has been for years, was Camarillo, CA-based Rat Sound, which fielded an L-Acoustics K1/K2 rig for the journey.

While researching it, I chatted with Michael Hopkins of Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy, Texas, about his facility's audio system and why he put a motorized standing desk beneath his congregation's Midas Pro9 console.
