Audio for VR Room: Presented in the Kim Novak Theatre, a Dolby and Auro 3D-equipped re-recording stage. New tools and techniques for the ultimate in Immersive Sound.
Sound Reel Showcase: Presented in the William Holden Theatre, a Dolby and Auro 3D-equipped re-recording stage. Film studios present 10-minute reels of their showcase films, with introductions by the sound teams.
Production Sound Pavilion: Presented in the iconic Barbra Streisand Scoring Stage. Top production sound mixers show what's in their sound carts, and top manufacturers show the latest in wireless, microphone and recorder technologies.

Paul Special, Live on the Network
Paul Special is a freelance broadcast music mixer who is regularly found mixing bands for ABC's Good Morning America at Times Square Studios in New York City. He also mixes music for other ABC shows including The View, as well as shows for different networks like 106 & Park for BET, and You Oughta Know for VH1, and Front and Center for PBS. As part of the Good Morning America team, Special and the show have been nominated for and won multiple Emmy awards. He loves to mix music, no matter the program. He sits daily at a Calrec Artemis board.
Precision Sound Studios Relies On SSL Duality Console
Solid State Logic in Oxford, UK, announces that Precision Sound Studios in New York City has been using a 48-channel SSL Duality δelta Pro Station SuperAnalogue console in its Control Room A. The studio, headed by producer/engineer Alex Sterling, is located on Manhattan's Upper West Side, close to the City's American Museum of Natural History in Central Park.
Third Annual Pensado Awards Announces Title Sponsors
This year's festivities will take place on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Sony Pictures Studios, 10202 W. Washington Blvd., in Culver City, Calif. The awards will be held outdoors under the stars in Calley Park in the middle of the Sony Pictures Studios lot. A VIP reception will be held on the complex's Main Street area, and an after-party will take place in the Sony Commissary, which is connected to the park.

Alchemy Post Sound Garners Two Emmy Nominations
Alchemy Post Sound co-founder and Foley artist Leslie Bloome has received two nominations for the 68th Emmy Awards. Bloome was nominated for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Nonfiction Program for the A&E documentary Cartel Land. Alchemy Post Sound Foley Mixer Ryan Collison and Foley Artist Jonathan Fang, were also named in the nomination, as were Sound FX Editor Mark Filip, Dialog Editor Billy Orrico and Sound Designer Sean Garnhart.
Germany's Radio Darmstadt Upgrades with Studer
Harman Professional Solutions announced that Radio Darmstadt, a commercial-free local radio station based in Darmstadt, Germany, recently upgraded its analog audio systems and switched to an AoIP (audio over IP) infrastructure based on Studer OnAir 1500 mixing consoles, Studer SCore routing and Audinate's Dante audio networking technology.
Engineer Michael Bishop Uses ATC Monitors for Recording Projects
