The Crown Guitar Workshop and Festival welcomes you!
Join Dweezil Zappa, Lee Ritenour, Jim Messina, Brent Mason, Jon Herington and many more in the beautiful resort town of Bigfork, Montana this summer, and take part in a life-changing week of workshops, masterclasses, electives, jams, and performances. Since 2010, the Crown of the Continent Guitar Workshop and Festival has brought a world-class lineup of performers and faculty together with dedicated guitar students of all levels. Celebrating all genres, Julian Lage and Chris Eldridge (Punch Bros) will lead an Acoustic Americana class, Gonzalo Bergara shall teach a gypsy-jazz fusion class, and Italy's SoloDuo will lead their first American workshop in Classical guitar! The Crown also offers top notch classes in Blues, Jazz, Rock, Singer/Songwriter, Beginning guitar and "Excel with the Masters" led by musicians Dweezil Zappa and Shane Theriot! Every workshop is co-taught by our Artists in Residence along with experienced published/performing faculty. And there are still a few unannounced special guests coming!
As if the phenomenal musical instruction wasn't enough, the Crown Guitar Workshop sets itself apart from all other Workshop experiences by taking place in one of the country's most sought-after vacation spots, the Flathead Valley of Montana. It is a short drive from the entrance to Glacier National Park, an even shorter drive to the beautiful hiking trails of the Swan Mountain Range, and right outside your cabin door sits the sparkling shores of the biggest freshwater lake in the western United States. For one week, the grounds of the 4-star rustic resort and horse ranch, Flathead Lake Lodge, become an epicenter for guitar. Boat docks become private practice spots. The lodge patio becomes the best acoustic jam space. The Crown Workshop is a place that provides guitar at its highest level in the beautiful splendor of Montana.
