O'Rielly Bashes "Anti-Capitalism Talk" (February) The commissioner wrote that capitalism is under "continuous assault domestically by self-defined progressives and ultra-liberals, who have found sport in using misguided rhetoric and false pretenses to denigrate one of the core tenets of American society."
Paul Schafer, Father of Radio Automation, Dead at 90 (April) It doesn't seem that long ago we were profiling Mr. Schafer when he received the NAB's Engineering Achievement Award, but that was 14 years ago. Other notable passings: Grant Bingeman and Carl T. Jones.
Radio Is a Muscular Mass Medium (February) Radio's historical dominance in the car is certainly not what it was in 1985 or 2005. But don't lose sight of how powerful the medium remains.
What Do Amazon And RadioShack Have In Common? (TWICE) Not much except that they are on opposite ends of this particular list. "RadioShack continued its run as the retailer with the worst customer experience," states the report's author.
