For NAB 2016, Wheatstone introduced several new products, including a groundbreaking new console concept that has the potential to revolutionize broadcast audio (no hype intended).
Audio Consoles for Radio
Meet the new LXE console. The idea behind the LXE is to allow you to customize the interface in whatever way is best for your workflow. Each module has assignable buttons, knobs, and OLEDs to display exactly what you are doing. Additionally, the LXE has a touch-screen GUI interface that lets you tweak settings via the gestures you are used to on smart phones and tablets. The LXE won NewBay Best of Show Awards from Radio World and TV Technology!
Audio Processing for Radio
The AirAura X3 has represented what CAN be done with audio processing to achieve the best in loud and clean audio on air - FM or HD. The AirAura X1 brings much of that functionality, along with some recent developments we've implemented in the FM-55, to a price point that is much friendlier. Speaking of friendly, the X1 sports a new touchscreen on its front panel that makes selection and adjustment completely intuitive. The AirAura X1 won NewBay Best of Show Awards from Radio World and Radio Magazine!
Realtime Broadcast Audio Record/Edit/Playback
For VoxPro, we've taken things up a notch. You'll notice that the controller is now black, yet the layout is identical. Our VoxPro users let it be known, in no uncertain terms, to NEVER alter the position, shape, and feel of the controller. So, we made it black to match the rest of the Wheatstone product, and left everything else alone. For the software, we've added a TON of new features including multi-track recording, recording new audio while editing existing audio, unicode support for multiple languages, color markers, a gap buster for automatically removing silence, and a detachable HOT KEYS window. There's more... INCREDIBLE VOXPRO 6 DEMO! While we were at NAB, Kaden from KISS 104.7 in Phoenix dropped by the booth to show us how a pro uses VoxPro in real time. A crowd gathered as Kaden was doing his thing in real time. Impressive...most impressive... Check out this video of Kaden in action at our booth. We were floored on the show floor!
