Google just changed the rules for wearables. It has introduced Android Wear for iOS. The caveat is that right now it's only available for one smartwatch, the LG Urbane. However, Google said, "All future Android Wear watches, including those from Huawei, Asus and Motorola, will also support iOS, so stay tuned for more."
Samsung will show off its latest smart watch -- its first in a year but seventh since late 2013 -- this week. The Gear S2 features a round screen and runs Tizen, Samsung's homegrown software. More importantly, it's Samsung's first smart watch since Apple released the Apple Watch in April.
For users who like shiny things, LG has released a gold-plated version of its LG Watch Urbane. And it's about $8,000 cheaper than Apple's gold Edition Watch.
