A planetarium is one of the high points inside the newly refurbished Yokkaichi Municipal Museum. Designed and installed by Goto Inc., the facility's centerpiece is a 8K triple head hybrid planetarium projection system, reportedly one of the most advanced opto-mechanical projectors ever. Ensuring that the planetarium's sound matches the quality of its visuals, a TiMax SoundHub2 matrix was installed to provide real-time, cue-based timecode synchronisation between the planetarium's multichannel surround audio and the ultra-high-resolution visual content.
