The Pro Audio Group team of NewBay Media's AV and Pro Audio Group announced its Best of Show Award winners today at the InfoComm 2015. NewBay Media's Best of Show Awards are judged by a panel of engineers and industry experts from submitted nominations. Criteria include ease of installation and use/maintenance, performance, relevance, value/ROI, network friendliness, versatility and reliability.

Music Industry Day at Summer NAMM on July 11
NAMM opens its doors to musicians, songwriters, and sound and recording professionals during Music Industry Day, Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., at Nashville's Music City Center. Music Industry Day offers a once-a-year opportunity to demo new music instruments and products, attend workshops, enjoy live performances, and network with industry leaders at Summer NAMM, an exclusive, trade-only event. Tickets are available now for $10 in advance, or $20 at the door.
 
Eighteen Sound Appoints Rat Sound As Pro Provider In U.S.
Eighteen Sound Srl of Reggio Emilia, Italy, has appointed Rat Sound Systems Inc. as a Pro Provider in the U.S. The announcement was made by Jeffrey Cox, director of sales, North America, for Eighteen Sound. “Rat Sound is now a supplier of Eighteen Sound products as well as a provider of professional support and service to the pro audio industry,” explains Cox. “As a registered service agent, they also provide re-coning and other services to Eighteen Sound’s professional customer base.”

Austin's Continental Club Installs Meyer Sound Loudspeakers
The new house system comprises four UPQ-2P loudspeakers, two 700-HP subwoofers, and a Galileo Callisto loudspeaker management system with a Galileo Callisto 616 processor for system drive and alignment. Six MJF-210 stage monitors supply onstage foldback. The venue also features a Midas Verona analog console and hard-wired Telefunken mics.
 
Firehouse Productions Supports iHeart Radio Country Festival in Austin with JBL Line Arrays
For the second year in a row, Firehouse Productions provided sound reinforcement for the iHeartRadio Country Festival, held at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. And just like last year, Firehouse used its Harman JBL VTX line array system for the event. This year's system, however, featured Firehouse's V25 loudspeakers, now upgraded to the new V25-II spec using JBL's VTX-V25-WG-UK upgrade kit.
 
Capital Sound Deploys More Than 200 Martin Audio MLA Elements at Two Festivals
Billed as Disclosure & Rudimental Present Wild Life, the four-stage, two-day event was staged at Brighton City Airport, a general aviation facility in Shoreham where, as the title suggests, Disclosure and Rudimental were the headline acts.

Yamaha Rivage PM10 Digital Mixing Console
The new flagship Rivage PM10 significantly increases the quality and versatility necessary in a live sound environment, and inherits features from the renowned PM Series Consoles. The PM10 system comprises the CS-R10 control surface, DSP-R10 DSP engine, RPio622 I/O rack, three types of RY cards, and two types of HY cards, providing the flexibility to configure and ideally match the scale and functional requirements of any application. Hybrid Microphone Preamplifiers have been newly developed, as has the analog section both in terms of components and overall design.
 
Danley Sound Labs Go-2 Series of Loudspeakers, Subwoofers
The Go-2 Series uses Danley's patented Synergy Horn technology and injection-molded cabinets that are constructed in Gainesville, Georgia. While at home indoors, both in terms of aesthetics and rigging points, the Go-2 Series also has an optional grille for outdoor use. Currently, the Go-2 Series comprises the GO-2-28 dual 8-inch woofer, the GO-2-8PR 8-inch woofer with a passive radiator, the GO-2-8CPR 8-inch coaxial with a passive radiator, the GO-2-6C8 6-inch coaxial with an 8-inch woofer, and the GO-2-8C8 8-inch coaxial with an 8-inch woofer.
