WheatNet-IP Audio Networking... At NAB 2015, we will be showing our latest additions to WheatNet-IP Audio Networking system (and a couple of incredible new consoles). More than just an IP network that routes audio within a broadcast facility, it is a full system that combines a complete audio tool kit, an integrated control layer, and a distributed intelligent network that takes full advantage of IP audio. Wheatstone Sessions at NAB: Wheatstone will be participating in several engineering sessions this NAB. The Curious Behavior of Consumer FM Receivers During Hyper-Modulation BEC Developments in Audio, S227,10:30 to 11:00 a.m., Sunday How much modulation headroom do today’s receivers actually have? Our Senior Product Design Engineer Jeff Keith tested standard radio receivers in use by consumers today and came up with a few alarming findings that could affect how you apply modulation. You can also find the Wheat at the Public Radio Engineering Conference, where a few of our guys have been tapped to give presentations, and on the show floor where our technology partners ENCO, Tieline, WideOrbit, OMT and BSW, among others, will be showing our gear. We’ve pulled our top network engineer Dave Breithaupt away from the computer long enough so he could talk about multicasting in real-time, AES67 and the switch, and how advances in switching technology by companies like Cicso could affect your audio network.
