But the coolest new feature is inking -- the ability to draw, write on, and generally mark up Web pages from directly within the browser. You can share your marked-up creations via email or through social networks, or you can save them to OneNote. More» Why This Matters: This is probably the most important AV-related feature of Spartan. It turns every webpage into a whiteboard which Is going to change my workflow for sure (!) and which will likely change how unified communications and collaboration works. Bass out da flames! Firefighters may be snuffing blazes with deep-toned sound, if a new device invented by two engineering students in Fairfax, Virginia, catches on. The George Mason University engineering students rigged up a sonic fire extinguisher that lets out soundwaves at frequencies between 30 and 60 hz. More» Why This Matters: Nah.
