Mackie ProFXv2 Analog Mixer Series By Strother Bullins Yesterday at Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Mackie announced the ProFXv2 reboot, effectively expanding the line from four to six models with smaller (4-channel ProFX4v2) and larger channel-count versions (the 30-channel ProFX30v2, reviewed here) while further refining some of the key goals of the original ProFX launch. Now the ProFX Series features even better-sounding digital effects, as well as a new-generation microphone preamp influenced by Mackie's proven Onyx preamp technology. PAR-Tube Sneak Peek: Lauten Eden LT-386 By Rob Tavaglione Here's a sneak-peek of the new Lauten Audio Eden LT-386a tube large diaphragm condenser microphone with multiple HPFsat Studio at the Palms in Las Vegas. The vocalist in the live room using the Edensinger/songwriter Will Knoxcame in all the way from London to collaborate with producer Fab Dupont (nodding his head on the left), Lauten Audio's Brian Loudenslager and a select group of audio pros. The demo took place just days before the Eden's official unveiling at Musikmesse 2015 in Frankfurt.
