 Audio-Technica introduces the BP40, a large-diaphragm dynamic broadcast vocal microphone that delivers rich, natural, condenser-like sound. The large diaphragm features patented floating-edge construction that maximizes diaphragm surface area and optimizes overall diaphragm performance, while the humbucking voice coil prevents electromagnetic interference (EMI).
With rugged, all-metal construction and stylish, waveform-inspired design, the BP40 provides dependable performance for professional broadcast environments, and looks good doing it. Its hypercardioid polar pattern ensures superior isolation of the speaker's voice and maximum off-axis rejection. The optimized capsule placement helps maintain a commanding vocal presence even at a distance, while the multistage windscreen provides superior internal pop filtering. A switchable 100 Hz high-pass filter offers even greater protection from popping.
The BP40 comes with an AT8483 mounting clamp that fits 5/8"-27 threaded stands, a 5/8"-27 to 3/8"-16 threaded adapter, and a protective pouch. Also works with the new AT8484 shock mount, available separately. U.S. estimated street prices: BP40 $349; AT8484 $99.

 The Roland V-1200HD Multi-Format Video Switcher is a 2 M/E switcher featuring a new 4:2:2 / 4:4:4 Hybrid Engine that combines the features of a production switcher with the power of a presentation switcher.
