Featured Honoree Class of 2015 | Dave Lougee President, Broadcasting Gannett, Co., Inc. | Dave Lougee was named president of the Broadcasting Division for Gannett Co., Inc. in July, 2007. Following the acquisition of Belo Corp. in December 2013 and London Broadcasting stations in 2014, Gannett now owns or operates 46 television stations in 38 markets. Gannett Broadcasting covers almost one third of all U.S. TV homes and is the largest independent operator of major network affiliates in the top 25 markets. Prior to returning to Gannett, Lougee served as EVP/Media Operations for Belo having held several key positions as President and GM for TV and cable operations in the Seattle/Tacoma area. In 2014, Lougee was awarded the First Amendment Leadership Award by RTDNF and the Broadcaster of the Year Award by Broadcasting & Cable. He serves on several industry boards. He is the Chairman of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Television Board. He also serves as Vice Chair of the NBC Affiliates Board, is a member of the BMI (Broadcast Music Inc.) Board of Directors, the Broadcasters Foundation of America and a past Chair of the Television Bureau of Advertising (TVB) Board of Directors. Lougee is a graduate of the University of Colorado and attended the Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2004.
