The annual Winter NAMM show in Anaheim, CA was a phenominal week for all of us at The Music Zoo. We have quite a bit of exclusive interviews, videos and content for all of you to take in, read and watch... So without further ado... We're huge fans of Claudio and Claudia Pagelli and their impeccable craftsmanship at building some of the most beautifully designed guitars we've ever laid eyes upon. Gibson Custom Shop continued to wow us with their lineup at NAMM '15 with their sleek and classy L9. This seamless fusion of a '59 Les Paul and L5 gave us the feels for sure!

Gibson continues to find ways of making moves toward the perfect Les Paul, and every year they manage to do it! The '59 Les Paul historic is here, and it's one grandiose guitar! Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Yuriy Shishkov simply stunned us with this "Pine Cone" Stratocaster inspired by an original Fabergé egg. It's certainly the show-stopping piece we knew Fender was capable of. This ornate instrument is draped in 550 high-quality diamonds, and you can bet it wears them with class! From Masterbuilder Dale Wilson, we picked up this Clown Patch finish Strat. It looks amazing in person, and it's headed to The Zoo if you'd like to pre-order. The Fender Custom Shop 2015 Collection was announced recently and we finally had the chance to check them out in person. We'll be stocking the full line, but here is a taste of the Collection from the show, including a couple roasted neck guitars that were not for sale but showed us the direction they are heading. And for those of you looking for something a bit more fun and different, Fender is doing a limited run of Sand Blasted Body instruments in various colors. These look, and feel, very cool! Charvel Custom Shop is always a favorite at The Music Zoo and we've got a couple cool new one-offs heading in, including a Chip Ellis-built San Dimas with matching foot pedal, and a Shazaam Lightning Bolt Graphic guitar from Red Dave. Jackson Custom Shop also impressed with this 8-String One Off Soloist which will be coming to The Zoo. It's available for pre-order now! |
