Marc Anthony's North American Shows Include Meyer Sound LEO, LYON At the request of front-of-house engineer Jose Rivera, a Meyer Sound LEO and LYON linear sound reinforcement system was deployed for Marc Anthony's recent mini tour. The showswhich included 360-degree productions in New York and New Jerseywere Anthony's first North American concerts to be heard through a LEO system.
Sara Bareilles Tours U.S. with d&b audiotechnik V-Series Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Sara Bareilles recently completed her first full production headline tour across the U.S. with visits to Australia, New Zealand, and several Asian cities. Engineer Trey Smith, who has worked for Bareilles since 2008, chose a d&b audiotechnik V-Series audio system for the tour.
H.A.S. Productions Demonstrates VUE's al-System Veteran front-of-house engineer Rick Camp (Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Chris Brown) landed on January 16 in Las Vegas' Buffalo Bills Star of the Desert Arena to receive a one-on-one demo from local sound company H.A.S. Productions. A sizable VUE Audiotechnik system was hung for Patti LaBelle's performance.
Adamson Debuts Video Interviews with FOH Engineers Adamson Systems Engineering in Port Perry, Ontario, Canada, has debuted a series of video interviews with front-of-house engineers and production teams discussing the deployment and use of Adamson touring systems. The series is titled "Behind The Curtain."
dbx AFS2 Processor Featuring a powerful DSP module, the AFS2 from dbx ($374.95) provides all the processing and control necessary for both installation and live use. Ten- and 12-filter feedback elimination processors are the de facto standard, but the AFS2 offers a dedicated feedback suppression processor that offers up to 24 filters per channel with filter Qs up to 1/80 of an octave. Other features include selectable modes, live filter lift, and types of filtration, which are all readily available via the front panel. In addition, there is a Wizard setup function, full LCD display, stereo or dual independent processing, and live and fixed filter modes. Application-specific filter types include: Speech and Music Low, Med and High.
