FCC Updates Equipment Certification Rules (CommLawBlog) The agency is getting out of the equipment certification business, according to Laura Stefani. The change isn't as big as it sounds. It is handing over responsibility for all equipment certification grants to Telecommunications Certification Bodies (TCBs), which already process more than 98 percent of grants.
