Wheeler Signals Title II Is Likely (B&C)
The FCC chairman told Gary Shapiro and an International CES audience that he's pushing forward on reclassifying the Internet as a public utility, though he left specific details out.

FCC Updates Equipment Certification Rules (CommLawBlog)
The agency is getting out of the equipment certification business, according to Laura Stefani. The change isn't as big as it sounds. It is handing over responsibility for all equipment certification grants to Telecommunications Certification Bodies (TCBs), which already process more than 98 percent of grants.

New Community Radio Station Taking Input (What's Up!)
KVWV(FM) in Bellingham, Wash., is petitioning the community about what it wants out of its new LPFM community station.
