Pioneering synth designer Dave Smith recently re-acquired the rights to the brand under which vintage Prophet synths were made: Sequential Circuits. His first instrument to bear this storied moniker is the new Prophet-6, a six-voice analog poly synth with fully discrete circuitry: no Curtis chips and no digital anything. It's laid out exactly like the Prophet-5, but more compact and with several modern enhancements. Here's the scoop, including our video interview with Dave.
