NewBay Media has announced the highly anticipated re-launch of AV-iQ, the AV industry's largest and most detailed database of over 440,000 AV products and services, now online at www.av-iq.com. The new AV-iQ.com now boasts a significantly improved user interface with more intuitive and visually driven navigation, easier filtering tools, and a responsive design to better accommodate visitors using tablet devices. PlayhouseSquare Adds New NEXO M6 System for Hanna Theatre
The Hanna Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio, opened in 1921 and would go on to host such stage and film luminaries as Al Jolson, Katherine Hepburn, Henry Fonda, Ethel Barrymore, Ginger Rogers, Helen Hayes, Mary Martin and Yul Brynner. PlayhouseSquare assumed management of the Hanna in August 1999 following its purchase of the Hanna Office Building, which houses the venue. In 2008, the Hanna underwent a renovation to add a thrust stage, re-work its seating to 550 and become the main performance base for PlayhouseSquare's long-time constituent, Great Lakes Theater.
 
'Bands On The Run' Tour with GV Audio and Yamaha CL Digital Audio Consoles
The "Bands On The Run" Tour featured three of Canada's hottest chart-topping country music bands: The Road Hammers, Doc Walker, and U.S. act Blackjack Billy. GV Audio of Regina, Canada, provided audio production for the November/December tour dates. The gear comprised two Yamaha CL5 digital audio consoles, two Yamaha Rio3216-D input/output boxes, 12 Sennheiser EW300 IEM systems, four Sennheiser EW500 handheld systems, and four Shure U4D handheld systems.
 
Temple Israel of Hollywood Adopts Networked Audio
Temple Israel of Hollywood continues to be a beacon for Reform Jewish traditions and values. Today this multi-purpose cultural and worship center hosts an increasingly diverse selection of events, with many taking place in its principal venue, Miller Hall. The fully equipped 5,000-square-foot ballroom stages a mix of live performances, cinema screenings and religious services.
 
Sennheiser Ushers in a New Class of RF Experts
Nine months of hard work have paid off: a total of 19 wireless professionals from the worldwide Sennheiser organization have been awarded the coveted RF Expert certificate. QSC GXD Amplifiers
QSC's GXD Series amplifiers feature Class-D power devices for high power output in a lightweight chassis design. Features include DSP-powered highpass and lowpass filters (24dB LR), 4-band parametric equalizer, signal alignment delay, and RMS/Peak speaker protection limiting. GXD Series front panels include a power switch, four status indicators, and a large LCD screen that provides metering and status monitoring while the rear panels include XLR and ¼-inch TRS inputs, NL4 and binding post outputs and the AC power inlet. Power is 400W/channel at 8 ohms (600W/channel at 4 ohms). The GXD 4 ($599.99) provides a max total peak power of 1600W, while the GXD 8 ($999.99) provides 800W/channel at 8 ohms (1200W/channel at 4 ohms) with a max total peak power of 4500W.
