Why This Matters: Ah 70mm film. Like Iwerks before it was digital. Gorgeous, it is. So now film is a high-end, aspirational platform for filmmakers like Nolan who know what they like and can call the shots. Of course a bunch of theaters no longer have any film projectors or humans who know how to run them…So the "competitive advantage" in cinema changes yet again.
