Big Data There is so much data being collected from so many sources, but determining what is the most valuable is the focus of this panel. Set-top box data and other behavior is a prime target, agencies say. Programmers' perspective on rights as well as programming strategies for VOD and marketing will be discussed. The panel will also look at balancing privacy issues with opportunity to monetize information, a big challenge for operators with access to their set-top box data. To this point, MSOs use it mostly for subscriber marketing rather than targeted advertising.
