The first-annual Next TV Awards will be given in celebration of individuals, channels and technologies that are acknowledged to be leaders in the business of digital media, advertising, content or OTT and have contributed to the quality and innovation of this particular business segment. Recipients of the Awards, presented in five different categories (listed below), will be selected by a panel of impartial judges and kept confidential. Entries may be submitted through Friday, October 10, 2014. The 2014 Next TV Awards will be presented as part of the Next TV Summit at NYC Television Week, which will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2014 at Affinia Manhattan in New York City. Next TV Awards Categories 1. Best Social TV or 2nd Screen App: Best content experience and integration of Social TV and 2nd screen—app that stimulates the fan and encourages sharing the content experience through social media 2. Best Original Internet Series, Short- or Long-Form: Highest creativity and excellence for a short- or long-term TV series produced for the Internet 3. Best YouTube Original Content Channel: YouTube Channel that offers originality and the highest quality entertainment on the video site 4. Best Branded Internet Video: Web video content that is the most innovative and entertaining, integrating a brand or product organically into the narrative 5.
