Radio Romania Conducts RadiRo Festival (EBU) The Romanian national broadcaster has been presenting a week-long classical music festival in the capital city of Bucharest. The orchestras involved are "radio" orchestras from the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany and Romania. The broadcasts are being made available to other EBU member broadcasters. Radio Pair to Sign Off After 116 Years (Peninsula Daily News) Paul and Shirley Bragg have 116 years of on-air time between them. The last 11 years together they've helmed a weekly oldies program on KONP(AM/FM) in Port Angeles, Wash., where they've worked since 1969. Paul started broadcasting in 1955 in Bozeman, Mont., and Shirley followed two years later. Their final show is Sunday. A Mason Jar Radio With One Station Only (NPR) Minimalist art? Simple tech? Arts & Crafts? Recycle-mania? Two guys have built a petite pretuned radio in a small Mason jar. Buyers can choose what station the radio is permanently tuned to. They have a Kickstarter campaign for their venture. If this isn't in the next Wireless or Signals catalogs, it's a crime.
