#1 Samsung Debuts An Ultra HD Monitor Worth Drooling Over
  Movies and TV shows tend to dominate the conversation around 4K resolution as well as its close cousin, Ultra HD. But just as important are the benefits of ultra-high resolution for monitors. Samsung is offering that side of the market a display that's sure to turn a few heads. (Mashable)

#2 Netflix Pushes For Rule Allowing Cities To Build High-Speed Internet Services
  Netflix has called on US regulators to free up cities and local governments to build out their own high-speed internet services. The move is the latest in a series of challenges Netflix has made to policies being championed by the telecom and cable companies. (The Guardian)
Why This Is Important: While municipalities in Tennessee and North Carolina have been barred by state laws from expanding publically owned internet services, Netflix has submitted a filing that calls for more abundant broadband internet connectivity around the country. 

#3 Apple Denies Breach In Celebrity iCloud 'Hack'
  After telling Recode that it was "actively investigating" if iCloud accounts had been hacked, Apple today issued a statement on the recent hack and release of celebrity photos. After compromising photos and videos of celebrities, including Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton, were released on image-sharing site 4chan on Sunday, Apple "mobilized Apple's engineers to discover the source." (ZDNet)
Why This Is Important: Despite various reports the iCloud was hacked, Apple continues to deny that the system had been breached. Apple insists that the leaks are the result of a concentrated attack on usernames, passwords and security questions.
