Amateur Radio CubeSat Deployed From ISS (ARRL) Chasqui-1 is Peru's first satellite. The diminutive cubesat, a small, inexpensive satellite made with mostly off-the-shelf parts, was launched from the International Space Station on Monday. It will take pictures for the most part but its secondary mission is to support amateur radio.
Effort to Launch Gospel LPFM in Cypress (The Potpourri) A Christian Internet station based in the Houston suburb of Cypress, Texas, is working to launch an LPFM. It has its CP and 11 years' experience as an Internet station. The effort is led by a minster and former U.S. Marine.
