#1 Expert Predicts Radical Resolution Solutions For Big Screen iPhone 6 And 6L Phablet
Leaked photos, back plates, bezels and case-maker "dummies" have given us confidence of dimensions and some of the design details of the next iPhones. As we move closer to September 9, it is an article of faith among Apple watchers and the easily convinced general public that there will be two models, the 4.7″ iPhone 6 and the 5.5″ iPhone 6L phablet. (Forbes)
Why This Is Important: Some developers wonders if the larger screen size will mean a shift away from the current navigation M.O., and force a shift in app design.

#2 LG's First 4K OLED TV Has An Eye-Popping Price Tag
LG announced two new giant OLED TVs with ultra-high definition (a.k.a. 4K) screens Monday, sticking with its strategy of using the exceptionally expensive OLED display technology. The South Korean company said it will ship 65-inch OLED TVs starting September in South Korea, Europe and North America. A 77-inch model will hit shelves later this year. (Mashable)
Why This Is Important: LG is planning a shift to OLED screens as its forecasts show these panels will overtake LCD screen sales within a matter of years.

#3 Here's How Amazon Might Take Over Brick-and-Mortar Retail
The recent launch of Amazon's in-store credit card reader and checkout software was one of Jeff Bezos's most deliberate acts to date to grab a slice of the 85 percent to 90 percent of total purchases that still happen in the physical world. But the people who know Amazon the best said it has far more ambitious plans in the offline world. (Re/Code)
Why This Is Important: Small retailers may sign on with Amazon in order to increase their reach, but it will require real-time inventory coordination with Amazon.

"The tablets boomed and now are crashing. The volume has really gone down in the last several months. But I think the laptop has something of a revival because it's becoming more versatile. So, with the two-in-ones, you have the opportunity to have both a tablet and laptop, and that's appealing to students in particular. So you have an evolution. The boundaries are not as well defined as they used to be." -- Hubert Joly, CEO, Best Buy
