USA–Germany FIFA Match Yields Biggest Audience for ESPN Audio
The month-long 2014 FIFA World Cup from Brazil was a big success for ESPN Audio's digital streaming coverage of all 64 games, averaging 23,503 listeners every quarter hour. The USA vs. Germany game on June 26 set an ESPN Audio record of 147,880 listeners on average.

Sony Continues Expansion of Stacked CMOS Image Sensors Production
Sony said it will invest in its Nagasaki and Kumamoto Technology Centers next year to increase production capacity for stacked CMOS image sensors. Sony first announced its plan to expand CMOS production back in January with the purchase of a fabrication facility in Tsuruoka, Yamagata Prefecture.

Second Ham Fined for Frequency Interference
A second ham radio operator has been busted this week for interfering with the operations of his fellow amateur radio station operators. Brian Brow of North Huntingdon, Penn, was fined $11,500 by the FCC for "intentionally causing interference to other amateur radio operators and failing to provide station identification."
