FCC Extends FEMA Okay to Use WEA Tones in PSAs As part of a public education campaign, the agency has extended a waiver to allow FEMA to use EAS tones in PSAs that will air. The FCC usually is very strict on public exposure out of concern that the tones become too familiar and might be ignored.
