Today's Top 3 Stories
#1 Imagining A Google Where Search Isn't The Whole Story
Google's built a multi-billion-dollar empire largely on the strength of search ad sales. But that's starting to change as the years Google has spent nurturing side businesses that have nothing to do with search are beginning to show small, but growing returns. (CNET)
Why This Is Important: Ten percent of Google's revenue, or $1.65 billion, comes from its app sales and in-app sales via Google Play Store, as well as sales of Nexus devices and the Chromecast streaming-media device.

#2 Apple's Sapphire-Screen iPhone Less 'If' Than 'When'
If the latest sapphire tech rumor is true, Apple's exclusive manufacturing partner, GT Advanced Technologies, is gearing up its Mesa, Ariz., manufacturing facility with enough furnaces to forge as many as 200 million iPhone displays. (TechNewsWorld)
Why This Is Important:  The rumor just became a little more true. The equipment that has been brought in to the  Arizona plant should have the  capacity to produce more than 200 million units.

#3 Xbox One's March System Update To Bring Friends & Party System In Line With Xbox 360
Microsoft has detailed some of the changes due to be implemented to the Xbox One party system with the arrival of next month's major system update, confirming that players will once again be able to invite friends to a multiplayer game and chat with friends playing different games.  (Video Gamer)
Why This Is Important: Microsoft is increasing the chat functionality and making it easier to bring friends (cough, new users, cough) into the game.
