  InfoComm International's latest standard, ANSI/INFOCOMM 10-2013, Audiovisual Systems Performance Verification, has been approved by ANSI, a private, non-profit organization that administers and coordinates the U.S. voluntary standardization and conformity assessment systems. More»

#2 Beijing watches fake sunrise on video screen amid smog emergency

  Amid a thick grey haze, the giant LED video screens in Beijing's Tiananmen Square on Thursday beamed out images of the rising sun. The severe smog this week is the worst China has seen since January 2013. Similar images circulated then, when the LED screens in Tiananmen Square broadcast clear blue skies during an air pollution crisis that was termed the "Airpocalypse". More»

#3 Simple device overlays web info and apps on displays (with video)

  A device that places content between the viewer and a display was debuted at CES this month by creators SeeSpace. InAiR Smart HDMI adapter displays web content in the user's field of vision without the need for a second display. It is designed to work with a range of displays including 2D, 3D and 4K units. Although currently targeted at consumers it's easy to see that InAiR could have potential uses in collaboration, presentation and visitor attraction environments. More »
