SintecMedia to Acquire Pilat Media in $103 Million Deal
SintecMedia, on its website said that the transaction is designed to help both companies "gradually integrate certain functions where appropriate to realize synergy and economies of scale," but added that it is "unlikely to affect the vast majority of positions and staff across the two companies."

Turner Faces $200,000 EAS Fine
The FCC proposed a $200,000 fine against Turner Broadcasting System. The commission says in its decision that Turner aired EAS tones a total of 14 times over a six-day period last January.

Aereo Dangs Torpedoes Again to Light Up Cincinnati
Aereo plans to launch service in the Greater Cincinnati region on Jan. 21. The announcement comes a week after the Supreme Court said it would hear the case brought by broadcasters against Aereo for retransmitting signals without a contract. Aereo also announced securing $34 million in funding last week.
