New York, NY (January 8, 2014)—Brooklyn-based independent film specialist Rumble Audio Post has installed a Meyer Sound cinema monitoring system, becoming the third Meyer-equipped post house in the New York metro area.

Recording school is great and all, but as you know there are a ton of things we do in the real world that you can't learn at any school. For example, something that we spend a ton of time on Audiohammer Studios: recording, editing and mixing modern drums.

If you have a rack with all the drive processors for the sound system, maybe don't put them on a UPS because statistically, it's more likely to fail than the power company—and it did. We had 15-20 seconds left of the show and then all of a sudden, all the processors were offline and the PA was muted. And that's when Nate [Ruess, lead singer] decided to give the aerial test to a gold-plated Shure 58 wireless.
