Monitor Engineer Brad Baisley Tours with Blake Shelton
Monitor engineer Brad Baisley spent the summer and fall of 2013 supporting Blake Shelton's Ten Times Crazier tour through the continental U.S., appearing in mid-sized concert venues. Shelton, a judge for several televised singing competitions (Nashville Star, Clash of the Choirs, and The Voice), is credited with saying that Baisley's monitor mix is the best sounding mix that he has ever heard onstage. In October the CMA recognized Baisley's work as he received the 2013 SRO (Standing Room Only) Award award for Monitor Engineer of the Year. The CMA Board of Directors created the SRO (Standing Room Only) Awards in 1990 to honor outstanding professional achievement within the touring industry. Meyer Sound LEO Powers Bassnectar's New Year's Eve Show

Montarbo RAB1815 Subwoofer
Featuring a dual-transducer configuration using a 18-inch woofer in a ported reflex configuration, and a second, 15-inch woofer loaded by a folded horn, the RAB1815 radiates in a cardioid pattern from a single enclosure (www.montairusa.com, $TBA). Design features include neodymium magnets and 4-inch voice coils producing an excursion of ±23 mm. Both woofers can handle up to 1,600 watts of continuous power, and the entire system is capable of delivering 136 dB SPL. The RAB1815 weighs less than 135 lbs. and is built to act as a base for stacked arrays of Montarbo's RA16 enclosures. A single Neutrik 8-pole Speakon connector provides connection to the powered controller (PLM6800) or to any other power amplifier. A single PLM6800 can drive two RAB1815 units, or each RAB1815 can be driven by a 2-channel amplifier with a rated output of at least 1,600 watts per channel at 4 ohms. More »

Yamaha MTX New Firmware and Software Enables AEC and Dugan MY Card Compatibility
Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems Inc. has announced Version 1.2 firmware and application software for the MTX Series Matrix Processor, the core product of the Commercial Installation Solutions (CIS) product line. MTX v1.2 now makes the processor compatible with the MY4-AEC acoustic echo cancellation card required for distance conferencing and the Dugan-MY16 auto mixing capability card. More »

The e16i/o-MY 16 Mini-YGDAI 16‐channel bidirectional network interface card for Yamaha digital consoles offers a direct digital connection between compatible Yamaha consoles and other Pivitec network audio devices such as the e32 Personal Mixer. Depending on the expansion capabilities of the console, multiple e16i/o-MY cards can be combined together or used with other Pivitec modules to build larger audio networks. More »
