#1 15 Percent Of Americans Find The Internet Irrelevant And Hard To Use
The information superhighway is not for everyone. Fifteen percent of adults still don't use the Internet, primarily because it's not relevant to them or it's too difficult to use, a recent Pew survey said. (PC World)
Why This Is Important: Although access to the Internet is increasing, the number of people who find it to be too complicated is rising as well. Somewhat even more shocking is that the study found 3 percent of U.S. users are still stuck using a dial-up connection.

#2  eBay To Buy Braintree For $800 Million
eBay Inc. agreed to buy Braintree, a global payment platform, for $800 million in cash, in a bid to grow its PayPal unit's mobile capabilities.  (Wall Street Journal)
Why This Is Important: eBay's PayPal unit has been facing ongoing competition from other mobile-payments systems — including Google. Braintree, which is no small potato in the category, should give eBay a hefty boost.

#3 Twitter Launches Emergency Notification Service
A new service from Twitter allows government agencies and non-governmental organizations to send emergency messages
directly to users' phones during natural disasters or times of crisis, the company announced Wednesday. (CNN)
Why This Is Important: Users of Twitter will be able to receive critical information, such as severe weather alerts while social networking. Don't worry -- it's optional.
