FCC Seeks RF Harmony With OSHA A rulemaking proceeding underway at the FCC could mean more signage around radio facilities and more training for tower workers, but experts believe it's unlikely to result in any major changes for the way most broadcasters operate. Audio Preservation Gets a Boost Courtesy of a large donation the National Recording Preservation Foundation now has enough money to prepare to hand out grants for audio restoration projects. Technology Sessions at the Radio Show The upcoming Radio Show in Orlando, Fla., will have a number of sessions of interest to engineers. Topics will include emergency preparedness, AM radio and transmission efficiency. Nautel Works With Loyalist College The transmitter maker has a relationship with a college that has a broadcast engineer degree program. Nautel has provided two of its transmitters as learning tools.
