Why This Matters: This is on the heels of ESPN's announcement last month that they are shuttering (pun intended) their 3D. The BBC test demonstrated that their viewers aren't inclined to watch 3D even when they're handed the hardware. The science seems to indicate that 3D is more compelling when viewed from a roller coaster in a multi-million dollar, out-of-home experience based on a ten-figure movie franchise. –Cynthia Wisehart
