Audio-Technica Hosted Live Streaming Events at NAB Show

Audio-Technica broadcast live from their NAB Show booth from April 7–9. Top audio experts answered questions live from show attendees and from online viewers via LiveStream and Twitter (#ATliveNAB) during "Ask Me Anything" forums. Topics ranged from microphone technique to live broadcast near disasters, from the latest in sports audio acquisition philosophy and the conception of the wireless NFL referee to zombie movie production and rock star studio anecdotes.

Florical Adds to Acuitas Capabilities

Florical Systems introduced an automated "tag & bag" product that utilizes the capabilities with their channel-in-a-box product called Acuitas. Florical's Acuitas has added enhanced capabilities, which incorporates up/down/cross conversion allowing live inputs without frame-sync hardware. In addition, Acuitas provides several anamorphic configurations for secondary channels. Florical also provided a sneak peak at their upcoming simple broadband player.

Celeb 400 DMX Wins Best of Show at the 2014 NAB Show

Kino Flo Lighting rakes in another TV Technology Best of Show award for its new Celeb 400 DMX LED, the only color variable production light to ride the spectral sensitivity curves of the best HD cameras. Measuring 45 x 14 inches (114.5fcm x 36cm), the Celeb 400 is the big brother to last year's TV Technology Star Award for the DMX Celeb 200 LED beauty light that won accolades from the judges for its "superior technology." The Celeb 400 features the same dial-in white light from 2700K to 5500K (CRI>95), but emits more lumens than a 1,000-watt tungsten softlight, on 1.8A.
