TVStudy Update No. 3 Does Cross-Border Analysis Regulators have yet again updated TVStudy, the analysis software that the Federal Communications Commission will use to repack TV stations into the spectrum left over after next year's incentive auction. TVStudy Vers. 1.2.7 is said to be able to perform cross-border channel analysis of TV signal interference between stations in the United States and those in Canada and Mexico "on proxy channels." Comment Period Extended for Closed Captioning Rules The FCC has extended the comment period on its proposed rules for closed-captioning on Internet-delivered TV shows. FCC and Industry Canada Hammer Out Border Spectrum-Sharing Agreement The FCC and Industry Canada have agreed on three interim spectrum-sharing arrangements covering three types of wireless communications operations along the U.S.-Canada border. The arrangements govern various spectrum bands involving air-to-ground communications, fixed and specialized mobile radio services.
