#1 A year on the job with Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly
Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly is a man who often uses metaphors to make a larger point. He says corporate turnarounds are analogous to riding a bicycle. (Star Tribune)
Why This Is Important: In his year in office Joly as stabalized the chain, boosted its stock price and stopped a take over bid from its retired founder. While sales are not what one could call healthy, the company did manage to post more or less flat comp store sales over the last two quarters.

#2  Samsung Electronics to Release 12 Inch Tablet PC
Samsung Electronics is set to release a 12 inch tablet PC. According to industry sources on August 15, Samsung Electronics is now engaged in development of a 12 inch tablet PC, the largest screen size among those it released so far. (Korea Times)
Why This Is Important:  Although sales of 7- and 8-inch tablets now lead the category, the addition of a 12-incher would give the company something Apple does not have in its mix.

#3 Zuckerberg's Facebook page hacked to prove security flaw
He tried to warn them.A Palestinian researcher posted a message on Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's page last week after he says the site's security team didn't take his warnings about a security flaw seriously. (CNN)
Why This Is Important: Well, it is kind of fun to hear when this happens to the guy running a site supposedly secure from such things.
